All users except admin recieve "There was an error loading channels" when attempting to load live tv guide

Server Version#: 1.18.1.1973
Player Version#: 4.10.1

I have tried deleting and resetting up the HD Homerun prime, adding a different user with no effect. Not sure what else to do at this point.

As an aside, my previous topic was deleted and I have no idea why.Plex Media Server Logs_2019-10-21_10-37-30.zip (867.2 KB)

I have the same issue. I’ve tried about everything.

Same issue here too. All users cannot view live TV even though permitted to in restrictions. Have tried changing different restrictions, but to no avail.
Server v 1.18.1.1973
Happening on Fire Stick - latest version - admin on Fire Stick can watch Live TV OK, but a user gets ā€œOops, something went wrongā€ on the ā€œRecommendedā€ tab, nothing on Guide.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled HD Homerun. Ensured that the latest firmware is installed on these devices (have 2 connected) and also added a fresh user to see if live TV would work on this, but all efforts have not provided a solution - anyone any ideas? Seems to have broken within the last flurry of updates (one of which was to fix a Live TV streaming issue I believe).

I was able to get this fixed yesterday. Seems to be a problem with 1.18.1.1973. Rolled back to 1.18.0.1944 (public channel) and it is now resolved. Hope this helps.

Had a similar issue yesterday – even went as far as reinstalling DVR
Had to roll back to 1.18.0.1944 in order to resolve

Just for clarity as cannot find anything within Plex settings to roll back versions, these are the steps necessary (Windows install) - Could someone confirm, or advise if a simpler method available:

  1. Note down your current Plex Server software version
  2. Stop Plex Server using its tray icon.
  3. Uninstall Plex Server with the regular ā€˜Apps’ control panel of Windows. Do not use 3rd party ā€˜uninstaller’ software like Revo etc. Do not use Registry cleaners/optimizers.
  4. Go to your Plex data folder .
There is a subfolder in there, named Updates which will contain previous versions of the installer .exe
  5. Execute the installer for the previous software version (1.18.0.1944 in this bug instance)
  6. Reboot Windows (just a safety measure, it may work without rebooting as well)

Just so I don’t need to post the same question. Is there a fix coming?

I would expect so since it’s an issue that has been reported during a beta release.

This is happening to me on the latest stable build. I rolled back so I’m not sure what version I was on. It’s been a week or so.

What version are you on now?

1.16 was the only one I found to get Live TV to work consistently on all my Rokus and Android TV.

Interesting; others in this thread confirmed rolling back to 1.18.0 (latest stable build) fixed it for them…

I know but if I install stable build right now, my home users will lose access to Live TV. Is there a newer beta I can try?

Nope.

So, this version should all be OK? 1.18.0.1944-f2cae8d6b
I switched off Plex Pass downloads.

Based on posts in this thread, yes. If not, you can always rollback further.

So far so good. The Plex Pass version did not say it was beta. Just an update.

Yeah, that web page is not very forthcoming about that.

This needs to be fixed already. The only reason I paid for a Plex Pass is to use my LiveTV functionality, and they broke it two weeks ago and haven’t fixed it yet. This is unacceptable. Either they should have rolled out a hotfix, or revoked the update and replaced it with the working one.
