Managed Users can no longer access Live TV on v1.18

I can confirm that any managed user or Guest cannot access the guide. It hangs on:

Request: [192.168.86.42:42403 (Subnet)] GET /tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud:5/grid?type=1%2C4&sort=beginsAt&endsAt%3E=1571623200&beginsAt%3C=1571627700&excludeElements=Actor,Collection,Country,Director,Genre,Label,Mood,Part,Producer,Role,Similar,Writer,Photo&excludeFields=file,tagline (45 live) GZIP Signed-in Token

As admin, the request completes fine. As a managed user or guest, it’s never completed. I can confirm on different Roku devices as well as the Web-based player. In fact, on Roku, it will even crash the app.

The issue started yesterday, without performing any updates to the server. I’ve since updated to Version 1.18.1.1973 (Beta) with no success in fixing it.

Edit: Worth noting I’ve completely removed the DVR device and reinstalled it again, as well as created a new Managed User and tried Guest. Still, only Admin works.

I have the same issue. Just put up a post on this myself. Version: 1.18.1.1973 also. (Running on Mac OS)

I can also confirm that this issue is with managed Home users.
Issue is that the Guide (EPG section) hangs/times out quite often. Occasionally it does come up.
Otherwise they are shown the “oops” screen on failure.

However they are able to go to the Recommended section and view Live channels via the ‘On Right Now’ with no issues.

Server Version 1.18.1.1973 running on Mac.

I downgraded to 1.17.0.1841 and it’s working fine. It seems like a regression in 1.18.0.1846 and above.

Thanks for testing. Did you have any other issues with the older version?

Came here to report same issue, happening on Fire Stick as well.

Downgrading worked for me also.

I’m also experiencing this exact same issue on Rokus :frowning:

How did you downgrade it? Just re-run an older installer right over the top of it?

That being said has anyone seen anything about this issue being fixed for a future version of server? I may opt to just wait for the next update if it’s going to be fixed.

Yeah, I uninstalled v1.18 and installed v1.17.

For Windows (and macOS) you can also find the previous installers in your own Update directory by following these instructions:

Appreciate the info from both of you.

I’d still like to know that this is a known issue that is being worked on.

Given that it’sa beta release and this issue has been reported, it’s safe to assume the devs are aware and will be working on it if they aren’t already.
