I’m using an XML file for my live tv guide rather than the plex guide i used to use. Since switching to xml tv guide I no longer have the categories available to filter the tv guide. Can anyone let me know what plex uses to assign shows to each category from the guide? Is this only available with Enhanced Guide? Just wondering what additional info needs to be embedded in my xml file to show categories again
I have done a lot of research on this. It won’t work with XML. You need to use one of the Plex guides BUT that has its own problems, as the channels go into the categories based on what is on that channel. So if News is being shown, it’ll go in News but then if the next program is sports, it’ll go to Sports. It’s terrible.
