Hi every time I watch live tv on my Nvidia Shield after a couple seconds the the feed frezes for 1 or 2 seconds and then continue to play and it will do it again maybe 30 minutes later. My transcode file is on a SSD, I was wondering if my RAM was the guilty part in this equation, I have 8 GB of DDR3. Sould I upgrade to 16 GB ?
Also depending on which channel I’m watching, after it freezes the video feed is less fluid, its kind jerking. I have to press rewind or foward to get the video smooth again. Again is it the amount of RAM in fault?
This is normal for the system to buffer which is the freeze. Maybe eventually plex will increase the initial buffer which hopefully will alleviate that. Make sure you’re on a wired connection will also help. The picture quality after the buffer has started acting up on one of the most recent updates it’s not terrible but maybe it’ll be addressed next update. You can also try to lower your video quality and see if that changes anything.
