Live TV gone missing from Apple TV

Sometime, in the last few days, the Live TV & DVR tab has gone missing from the Apple TV app for all Plex Home users. Live TV is available and usable on everyone’s mobile devices.

I have tried

1. Uninstalling and installing the app on Apple TV
2. Removing and re-adding DVR on the server

The only user on the TV app who can access Live TV is the managed user without a Plex account.

It looks like Server Live TV is now combined with Plex Live TV and I can’t see the former without being forced to look at the latter. Another shameful tactic.

You can turn off Live Tv Sources. There is no need to jump to conclusions

Thanks. But in previous versions, Server Live TV and Plex Live TV were different options altogether.

Can you check again the Version of Plex on your Apple TV. Settings / About.

It’s 8.45 (9684), just checked.

Yes, have HDHomeRun. Previously, I can’t say which version, the local Live TV appeared as a separate pin from the Plex Live TV. I had the former pinned to my Home Screen and the latter not. One day, all of them disappeared. Eventually I figured out that Plex had merged both.

If I remember correct on that version the top line of the Guide there are two TV sources

The first photo is taken from the main Plex account on this TV. The Live TV option doesn’t appear under the server anymore, only under Plex. Previously, it was there.

The second photo is taken from a “managed account” on the same TV, which has Live TV under the server.
