Don’t install latest update! It lost my digital tuner which was not hard to reset up but it lost the LIVE TV/DVR option on the plex app. WIthout support why risk the hours of set up required for plex. If there is support, i would love to hear about it.

server Version 1.14.0.5470 on WD NAS. plex app version 1.36 on apple tv4
and the plex app version 3.2.20 on my surface.
do you have any ideas where live tv feature is turned back on? I have looked many times and resorted to this forum to find support.
Assuming you can see the live tv / dvr option from https://app.plex.tv/desktop then it should be in the apps just fine.
Have you tried restarting the apps?
THANK YOU for responding. I have restarted the apps and the apple tv4. i checked the link you sent and no Live TV DVR.
So, from that link, click on Settings on the left, scroll down to Live TV & DVR and make sure your tuner is set up again.
In the link on the host machine it should be in Settings>Live TV & DVR (towards the bottom of the list). My issue is a fresh install on a machine (Ubuntu 18.04) that sees the tuner but Plex does not; anyone else?
yep. it is still there and set up. I can see the IP address. 15 of 24 channels .
Can you please start your own thread? You’re on Ubuntu and the original poster is on WD and he sees his tuner while you do not…
I think your set up might not be complete. You might want to try deleting the DVR and setting it up again.
rebooting the server and apple tv. first reboot (3 minutes ago) plex on apple tv wouldn’t find the server. it seems i have to reboot my server twice because every other time it does not seem to work well.
do you mean delete the hdhomerun digital tuner from plex and start over?
Yeah, I would try that next.
rebooted everything and as always the second reboot of the server was the trick to get the apple tv plex app to see it. still not live tv dvr option.
I will delete the tuner from the app and refind it (I hope)
got that all done but still the live tv dvr option is not available . i can click on the channels on the homerun and watch live tv from the surface. so i know plex can see the tuner, it is just not an option on the app in either my surface or the apple tv. this leads me to believe there is a setting on the server that got unclicked.
does anyone know where on the server to tell it, to show the live tv dvr feature in the apps connecting to the server?

There’s nothing special you have to do.
If you go here https://app.plex.tv/desktop and look on the left, you should see:
Click on guide gets you to Live TV from the web server. If that works, there’s no reason why the Apple TV won’t see it too.
So verify the above lets you view live tv. If so, then go to the Apple TV and from the home screen, go all the way left until you get the vertical menu and scroll down until you see live tv (or something similar)
Darcilicious is correct. Guide appears in the web app. I need to get the Live TV DVR / Guide back on my Apple TV4.
On the Apple TV4 it used to be in the second from the top bar on the far right. It is not there any more or in that menu.
