App very slow. Also live tv guide not working. Please fix the live tv and the guide in tge new app.
Went back to old app and live tv and guide working perfect.

Same here. Live tv will not load the guide or anything on that tab.

the channel list loads for me but no guide. if i click on a channel the tv show will load but never the guide.

This is all I get for live tv. A blank screen. I guess Plex doesn’t care about live TV people anymore.

Same issues here on a Pixel 6a, android 15, app version 2025.15.0.
Web and windows apps work fine for live TV.

They honestly don’t care. If the app isn’t working, they act like it’s not their problem anymore. It’s like they are tearing everything down on their way out. Many people are saying it’s incredibly disgraceful.

If you have any channels that are favorited then remove them, their is a conflict between old and new apps with how the data is stored. Also affects the full huide in displaying the channels list.

The live TV tab is completely broken on my android phone and they went live with this state of things. DVR functionality is missing completely so need to use the old app for now.
Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. I don’t have any favorites saved as I tried erasing my whole TV setup to get it working. I have Emby as a backup. Plex gets like this sometimes. They lose sight of where they started. I’ve been with them for many, many years, and this is normal.

any updates on this issue, it makes the new experience iOS Plex app very frustrating to use. Even after removing all favorite channels, as soon as I tap on Favorite Channels the app becomes unresponsive or on my wife’s phone the Plex app just crashes. Deleted the app and installed as new, same issue.

I can see the guide but when I try playing a channel nothing happens. But Plex server is playing the channel. If I favorite a channel then use the guide tab to start playing a channel and then switch to favorites tab and play the same channel if will finally display.
Same on android, but also slow from website and tv apps
Loading the Live TV guide causes every iOS app to crash, or whatever you want to call that “Uh-oh! Something went wrong!” splash screen that soft locks the app.
It’s a wide spread issue, some users who have trimmed their channels back to bare minimum seem to have more luck around performance (like 7 or 8 channels). For me, when you then add the blank tv guide for future dates, forced 264 transcoding for all Live TV and how when you press X to close a channel playback it just goes back to the TV guide and stays playing (this is very odd thinking).
For the moment, the only solution is to just avoid playback of Live TV on mobile devices until Plex can prioritise fixing this.
Many of use have been pushed by Plex to use Infuse or similar for typical media playback from local files due to issues with pre new experience and also post. To be fair, excluding the horrific UX decisions, the mobile app is reasonable for mobile (excluding overall downloads functionality, Live TV and many other smaller challenges that add up to annoyance).
Now I’m looking at Channels, or other solutions, as either a permanent solution or tactical work around, however really don’t want to be doing this.
Best bet is to clean up unwanted / unused channels. my iPad pro has not crashed.
Example keep the Main commercial channels, ABC and SBS
I quite literally just set the whole thing up from scratch. There are no unused/unwanted channels.
So how many channels do you have in the guide. By the way this is no excuse for the issue just a work around
