I have the latest Plex Media Server version and the Live TV options is not available for HomeRunHD nor internal tuners. The only options available to record.
Sounds like you are not using a supported client for Live TV. Please read the Live TV page for supported client devices for viewing Live TV, the web UI is currently not one of them.

Live TV does play on my iPad and iPhone but not the iMac. Any ideas why?

Hi, was the Plex web client ever able to watch live TV from DVR?
I swear I could watch it from my Windows Laptop using Chrome but I cannot, Android OS works fine.

Don’t know if it was or not but it is a moot point, as it is not now. The only clients currently working for LiveTV are the ones in the link in the post above.

Apple Phones and Tablets use iOS. supported.
iMacs use OSX or macOS. Not supported
Apple TV Gen 4 uses tvOS. Mirror from iOS device.

no, neither the windows or mac server web client have ever been able to play live tv, to begin with you could only schedule recordings from the web app. Then they added the ability to watch live tv and schedule recordings from Android TV and IOS. They later added the ability to watch live tv and schedule recordings from Android and watch live tv from TVOS.
Got it. Thanks to all. Will be getting new Apple TV after release of newest model in late September.
