I’ve updated to the latest version and still don’t see the live TV option. I can record show just like before but don’t see any option to be able to watch live TV as if I’m not using the latest version. I’m on 1.7.2.3878-8088811b8. I wonder if it’s because I used to use the DVDR Beta that could be the issue. Under Settings/Server, on the left side it’s still called DVDR Beta. I honestly have no clue how to get out of beta if that’s the issue. I have Plex installed on Unraid and Windows 10 as well.

Me too. Same version. No clue. On Synology not Win10. Oh… Android TV only. Suspecting that Amzon Fire TV, although Android-based, is not considered Android.
Just installed Plex Media Server 1.5.6.3790 on my Mac and paid for a month of Plex Pass to try this out. I’ve set up DVR and can record however, neither my iPhone nor iPad show Live TV or DVR. All I see under Home and Browse is Playlists, Channels, and TV Shows.
I know I’m using the latest software as I just installed. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Thanks in advance.
It’s been shared before, but the unofficial plugin HDHRViewerV2 works great on my Mac Mini Plex Media Server and Player apps. My HDHomeRun Extend was able to transcode two streams from different channels at the same time (1st stream - Channel 4 on iOS via new Program Guide, 2nd stream - Channel 5 on Mac Mini Plex Media Player via HDHRViewerV2.), pretty cool!
Plex DVR and Live TV are still in beta. Don’t expect a finished and stable working product with full client support on all platforms. They said, more player support comeing soon for DVR and Live TV.

Don’t forget, great as the couch experience is (PMP is my primary client), it doesn’t mean that’s where most users are. I’ve read on here before that iOS, Android, and Roku are the most popular clients. PMP will get Live TV support at some point, although I can’t say when. Just please be patient, and hang in there!
Would you guys have preferred they held LiveTV until it was supported on all clients? Same with any new feature ever added to Plex?
Doubtful. This is a Plex-Pass feature after all and the announcement is very clear as to what clients are currently supported as well as what hardware is supported.
This is just the latest new feature and the supported clients will grow as well as expanded functionality. Give it time, Plex is doing a good job of rolling this out in useful ways.
BTW, most of us have Live TV at home in some form already. Having it available on iOS devices allows you to take your Live TV with you. Combine this with the new ABR functionality and it’s a pretty powerful combination.
Now if only us Android Mobile types could get in the game.
Yes I configured DVR and I have the program guide like from verison 1.4 however with the new copy 1.7.2 i have the dvr, deleted my existing from beta and redid and still same issue. program guide and recorded tv … no live feature.
