I have an issue with the latest Player release for Mac.
I had been using version 4.29.2 for Mac and it workes fine with a few minor bugs like rewind and FF So I looked for an update online and saw that there was a much newer version. I downloaded the latest (1.37.0.2706-5b2cfe50) and tried to watch some live TV but the frame rate is so low it’s unwatchable. I tried deleting the DVR and re installing it but no joy. I went back to the old version and it still works fine, so I will continue using it until I can find a fix. Any Idea what’s going on? Edit to add: It looks like it’s all playback not just live TV.
Edit to add: Apparently the problem only shows itself in 4k resolution. Either in scaled (4k but sized to 1080p) or normal native 4k on the Mac. It makes the entire Plex app totally unusable. Still sticking with the older media player for Mac but the last time it was updated was in 2020…
