Why is Live TV only for the Master Account Login? I use Managed Users so we can all have content per user. But to use the Live TV we have to switch to the Master Account which I only want to use to maintain the PLEX Server.

I understand it is not available yet. My question was “why”. My understanding it is no longer in BETA which to me means it should have most of the features done. Would be nice to get a answer from PLEX on when or if they plan to support more then a single user access.
Anyone from plex ever respond to this question?

I’m glad I found out that the Live TV is not available for managed users before I spent money on the hardware. I’m also curious to find out what supported that decision, plex team.
I would hazard a guess that it’s slated down the road sometime. Just getting some basic features up, working and stable would be nice. Plus I imagine that there are lots of design decisions to work out for DVR + Live TV + Managed Users. Conflict resolution alone should be a fun discussion.
Add a simple permission toggle to say managed users can’t use DVR but can use Lived TV and the problem is solved. As for tuner conflicts if you want everyone to have DVR just add more tuners and you won’t have this issue. How did you solve it in the VCR days? Give everyone their own VCR!
Even for DVR, we need a way to have managed users be able to control the DVR functionality, including deleting shows (if allowed, this could be made a permissions option), and searching/scheduling recordings. So, really, saying it is out of beta is kind of jumping the gun when so many features that everyone probably just assumes a DVR to have aren’t even implemented for testing yet.
