Same issue as with DVR scheduling - only the owner can do this, so it’s no use in my household

guy’s give them time, baby steps, they need to make sure it working first before they start adding more features. i know we all want it with cherry on top, but lets all just calm down, and take a breath.

Hey I configured my dvr and channels and can’t see the live tv option in either desktop or android app. Anyone else have the same issue?

I too can still only watch a recording “after” it has finished recording…unless I locate the file that is being created, a .mkv file, and use a viewer external to PLEX to open it. What needs to be done in PLEX to view it, I haven’t a clue.

Anyone have any answers???

Live TV is only available in Android TV ( not the Android App) and iOS (not tvOS).

Now that is out of BETA when will Managed Users be able to use the Live TV Feature? I hate have to switch users to get this feature. Seems very strange that it was designed that way in the first place.

Do your managed users have Plex Passes or only your main/primary account?

I’m trying to find out if Plex is wanting us to pay for a Plex Pass for each user to use Live TV on those sub accounts. Kinda stupid for me to have to buy a pass for my 2 & 3 yr old just to watch TV. I don’t want to give them access to my account because my account has access to all content including rated R.

Can we at least get an official statement on what they are intending to do with this? Like Robbie, I use managed users in my house because I have kids, and my wife can’t even use Live TV without logging in as me.

Have you tried the HDHomeRun Channel instead of the Plex Live TV? Search the forums for a link to it. Most people seem to use it instead for Live TV.
