Live TV Guide data not updating

Hi There;

I am running plex media server Version 4.34.3 on Windows 10 Pro x64.

I have a Hauppage quadTv tuner that i setup and applied the TV Guide from http://xmltv.net/xml_files/Melbourne.xml

This was working for a couple of days then the guide is empty, hence no recording is working.

I have tried manually refreshing the guide data, which is says that it has downloaded all the data, but nothing shows in the guide and no tv is recording.

I have searched the forums and threads and there have been people complaining for years yet i haven’t found any resolutions to this issue.

Can anyone help? most people i know have already switched to Emby and i have been resisting but if i don’t get a fix and quickly this is a deal breaker for me!

thanks for any help

cheers
Williarrmo

Plex Media Server Logs_2020-07-22_20-02-22.zip (1.4 MB)

Can’t find on server log files in the zip - other than the agent logs

Could you copy out this directory and zip the copy and attach

C:\Users\williarrmo\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Logs

I have the same issue.

my EPG update takes about 1 second to download, and contains nothing.
I’ve re-created the DVR on xteve and on Plex from scratch and it still does it. Plex sees that channels i have defined, but thats it. therefore plex shows no channels or guide so i can’t use it.
example of one of the xmltv entries -

<channel id="1003">
<display-name>UK: BBC ONE | UHD</display-name>
<icon src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49723096797_eb9c3ffa98_t.jpg"/>

</channel>

In plex logs i see a bunch of these ‘info’ messages, but I have no idea how to resolve them.

Any ideas?

hi @sa2000, please see them attached!

Logs.zip (2.5 MB)

Same here, TV guide is empty.

that is harmless and is logged normally

need full debug logs zip

just used a different source for the xml and it worked fine. so it looks like its something to do with xteve (or the way i’ve configured it!)

Can’t see any errors. May be an issue with the file you are using

I tested setup using your xmltv http source url ( Charles I: Killing a King instead of a file and it worked fine.

See the guide loading up ok - I had only a few channels enabled

The log shows you are using

C:\Users\Williarrmo\Documents\Melbourne.xml and not the url
May be the file is not up to date and has an old schedule or corrupt in some way

Can you do tests with the url instead of the file path and compare results

And get a screenshot of what you get back and fresh logs from each test to compare
