As I said, Live TV randomly buffers when going through plex, but it has a great signal, and works fine through the Roku channel, and works on my computer through plex just fine. I have tried many powerful Roku’s but none of them have been able to do it without random buffering. I believe that there may be a software issue, and I think it could be a transcoding thing or a Roku specific thing. Plex app on windows works great, and I am now watching through the plex web to transcode it and I still see no issues so far. I have hardware transcoding on a GTX 1050 ti, and two Xeon e5645’s. I can transcode super large files with no issue and the resource usage on the server is almost nothing, and it works fine when transcoding on the web app even for live tv.
In short: I think something is wrong with the Plex app for Roku. Live TV appears to buffer randomly, and only for a few seconds. I will try the plex preview app, and see if my results change. Thanks!
