I’d like to Create a Live TV section and create 2 channels one for tv and one for movies.
but i’d like them to play my personal media instead.
For example, for movies i’d like there to be a constent stream for ramdom movies to play from my folders,
and for Tv, set schedule to play 4 shows and than another for shows.
is this possible with plex?
No, Plex currently has no such feature – there’s a number of feature suggestions asking for this though.
Do you know of another app that might do this?
Sorry… I’ve never really looked into this.
If I really want to see some unrelated movie I simply click the shuffle button on my movie library… for tv-shows I’ve got a smart playlist with episodes of shows without a super-strict storyline (so I can shuffle the episodes without breaking that storyline)
Could you setup the Plex Live DVR setup and loopback to your own server for streamed content? i currently have an HD homerun but is there a way to virtualize the content?

I’m positive that with sufficient energy and skills you can build nearly everything… not sure that’s always worth the effort or if each hack will survive upcoming updates of the Plex environment.
