Live TV Support for Roku and Xbox One

First…I would like to say THANK YOU!!! for adding Live TV Support in the browser and android.
I would love to see live tv support added to plex apps on Roku and Xbox One. I am SOOOOOO very much looking forward to Roku and Xbox One Apps that support live TV, so I can finally upgrade my PC to Win 10, and no longer have to stay on Windows 8.1, the last version that support Windows Media Center and I can just use Plex in our home.

Thank you Again!!!

I’m right there with you! I really want to reduce the complexity of live tv for my family. Getting it into Roku would be huge!

I wonder if it will ever come to Roku? :frowning:

I’m totally in on this!

+1 for ROKU

Please expedite Live TV for Roku - CableCard user with HDHomerun and would love to be able to actually Ditch some Cable Set Top Box rentals as i have a Roku on every TV…this would be a HUGE step toward cable cutting, at least to begin!

Live TV for Roku!!

Not sure the Roku can handle live streaming from plex due to different codec/formats. BUT I STRONGLY WISH FOR IT!!!

+1 for Roku support!

Definitely looking forward to Xbox One support for live tv. I am exclusively using the xbox player for all of my Plex needs.

Is there any word on when Live TV will be supported on xbox one?

Same here. I would love Live TV/DVR support on XBOX One.

I know the roku support posts are older, so they may not be valid anymore, but I was under the impression that live tv was supported on the Roku. Is that not the case? Reading this post: support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/115007689648-Watching-Live-TV I ask because I’m looking at buying a roku to replace my HTPC.

Roku now supports the live tv feature, but not entirely. Can’t schedule recordings yet with the roku, but you can watch live tv.

+1 xbox one

+1 for more visibility. Already liked… still waiting.

This is the last thing I need to see. Plex live tv on the Xbox, well this and the grid style epg guide.

I wouldn’t call the browser or Android as a working solution as it insists on transcoding everything to network clients which means it is even more delayed and problematic on non-beefy htpc. Really don’t understand why it doesn’t work on the Windows client app as that should have the capability to stream w/o any re-encoding issues. The native HDHomerun app works with almost no cpu usage and (obviously no transcoding) to Windows and to Android. The experience here is a huge step backwards when it should be on-par or better overall.
