Recently updated to Version 1.16.4.1469 and noticed my server no longer had the live TV & DVR. Investigated a bit and noticed that the update stripped it from the server completely and had to redo the setup. Really just posting this here since I run off the Beta Update Server so someone is aware that it was a thing before the Public server folks got it.
I attempted a version roll back but it still was not present after the roll back.
The DVR is removed if the migration to the new EPG fails - eg if lineup could not be automatically matched or if there is no support for the country and switching to xmltv is necessary
When this happens the user would need to recreate the DVR manually and go through setup. After that , Plex Media Server will attempt to migrate any existing recording schedules
