Are we supposed to be able to use subtitles when using livetv?

Quite some streams have DVB subtitles available and some teletext subtitles.

I cannot choose any subtitle in these cases.
One stream out of maybe 10 started to transcode due to dvb subtitle. But most streams doesn’t show anything.

They all work if I start the streams in VLC or Kodi or iptv extreme so they do work.

I have also noticed some streams where aspect ratio is totally wrong.

Never happen in above clients.

Something I can do or is this expected behaviour?

I am using IPTV and have tried Xteve and tvhProxy (with tvheadend). Doesn’t matter how I feed the streams to plex, alway the same problem.

TV part of Plex doesn’t seem so polished. At least not now.

While this was publicly not supported by Plex, recently I see subtitles available while I am watching live TV. They seem to work pretty good too. I am in the US though, not sure if it is different overseas (I say this because you mention DVB and Teletext).
