I wonder… Try enabling the Live TV source here, https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources wait a few seconds then reload the web app. Any changes? or, just for the heck of it, try the same with the local web app.

Excellent! Now I have something to report to the developers.

Just to be thorough: now disable the online media source again and re-try.

Then I’m locked to favorites (only) again. Switch option is missing.

Yes … CTRL-F5 and CTRL-SHIFT-R … and clean cache, disabled cache (devtools).
