LiveTV has stopped working - Spinning wheel of death

LiveTV stopped working for me yesterday around the time I updated the Android TV app. It was working fine immediately prior to the update. However, I also the same issue on my Android phone, which also got an update yesterday.

When i try to tune a channel i get the ‘tuning channel’ message, then it goes to the spinning wheel and it just keeps spinning.

Troubleshooting:
Deleted and reinstalled the app on my TV and phone
Restarted TV, phone & PC
Deleted and re-added the tuner in Plex

Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD DVBT Tuner
Sony X83C TV
Samsung S5 mini phone

Plex Server - Version 1.8.0.4109
Android TV App - Version 6.3.2.1332
Android Phone app - Version 6.3.2.1332 (5ee6ec87)

I have the server logs available if needed.

Do your devices run Android 6.x or 7.x?

From other threads, it appears that live tv playback is broken on Android 6.x. Works on android 7.x. For the android mobile, you can go in the plex client advance settings and use an external player like vlc for playback. For your android TV, I not sure this option is available. You may find more info looking to the others threads about this issue.

Yeah, my TV is running 6.0.1 and my phone is running 5.1.1. Surely Plex can’t only be supporting Android 7.x ??
