Plex Live TV not Working on Android

Device: Samsung S5 Active
Plex Version on Device: 6.3.2.1332

Server Side
Windows 7
HDPrime with Cable Card
Plex Version 1.8.0.4109

It wants to start, but I get the ever spinning orange circle.

So a couple of quick questions:

  1. Is there an idiot’s guide to setting this up? I think I have it configured correct, but just to be sure…
  2. Is there anything I need to do on the server to enable this?
  3. Am I asking the completely wrong questions?

Live tv doesn’t seems to work in exoplayer on android version prior to 6.3. What android version do you have on your phone?

There are few threads talking about that. You will get more info on those.

Can plex fix this? I don’t know.

If there no new android version available for your phone, you can setup plex client to use an external player like vlc.

Thanks. My phone is only running 6.01, and AT&T seems to think that my phone is up to date and there are no new updates available…

FWIW: I was able to get the HDHR “unsupported” add-in running. It seems to be working fine, so I will use that rather than buy a new phone.
