Somewhere along 1.5.1 I think there was a change to how subtitles where handled during remote playback.
It was changed back then to situation where I could pause playback, choose another subtitle and resume playback without starting transcoding from beginning. That still works great in latest 1.6.2 but there is small difference.
After I load new subtitle I need to unpause playback to see the changes. Older version was “loading” subtitles on paused screen.
Is this changed intentionally.?
@NedtheNerd any comment on this one?

On what platform and what exactly do you mean with “see the changes”. When I pause a movie and select a new SRT subtitle in the subtitle dialog the OSD is updated (None, English, etc) and the subtitle is active when I unpause the movie.

This is probably a side affect of how the updated rendering engine from Kodi Jarvis works.
Can agree with @Kwiboo, not an issue for me, works perfectly.
