OK - I know this has been mentioned before but it still frustrates me. I have a small Android TV box that I use when I am not at home and when I go away on holiday. It is not always possible to use an internet connection and the TV box (mecool) has a slot for SD card media.
Why doesn’t Plex just allow the playback from SD cards like it does for the ‘standard’ Android Plex app? What is so hard about doing this? Budget Android boxes (not Android TV) can do this with the ‘standard’ app.
It is frustrating as I have to install and rely on other apps to allow playback (Kodi/VLC) when I know Plex is more than capable.
Please please add the option to allow local media playback.
