Server Version#: 1.43.0.10492
Player Version#: N/A
Network topology: one local wired network (192.168.x.x) and one mesh network (192.168.y.y).
The mesh primary node is connected to the router by Ethernet cable, so it is “routing” traffic from the wireless mesh to the router.
My “player” is the current version of the Plex app for Roku TVs.
Yesterday, I was able to power up the PC hosting the Plex Server and the Plex app on the TV (on the second local network) was able to authenticate to the Server and play media. Today, it is still authenticated to the Server and I can see my media, but when I try to play any media, the Plex app throws up an advertisement telling me that in order to play my media files remotely, I must buy a Plex Pass.
I don’t really care about the “why”. What I want to know is how I can get back the ability to play my media files locally. I do not now nor will I ever play my media from outside my physical premises. If I wanted to do so, I’d buy the Pass. I’m just playing files inside my house on a different non-routable network than the non-routable network on which the Server sits. How do I fix this?
