I have some shorts enabled for some of my movies, but they are not showing up on Xbox One. They work on my Apple TV and on the Web Interface. I also don’t see them on iOS.
Are they classified as extras for the movies? In which case they should appear in when you select the ‘film strip’ button on the left handside.
Yes, I put them in the sub-folder “Shorts” to be exact. On my Apple TV they show up on “Extras” at the button as they do in the Web UX. On Xbox One, any move that has such “shorts” behaves strange.
First, upon selecting it, the movie screen shows only the background image; no text of any kind. If from that screen I move forward one movie and back, I get the correct text and can play the main movie, however, no filmstrip icon and no extras.
Now, for movies where I don’t have my own “short”, I do see the filmstrip and the web-based extras. But again, if I have my own “shorts”, that option is no longer there.
Interesting! I’ll raise an issue to take a look. Thanks.
Awesome thanks!
BTW - I tried this on another Xbox One and same result. Is there a way for me to track the issue?

Currently only the Trailer folder, Behind the Scenes, and the Deleted Scene folders are showing up under Extras. I’m using Plex v2.4.23
I am having a similar problem with Plex Home Theater, which organizes the Trailers, Behind The Scenes, Deleted Scenes and Interviews fine, but does not include Featurettes or Shorts in the Extras section (clicking the “+” sign to view extras). I have tried the folder method as well as the “-featurette” and “-short” naming method, and neither is working.
I started bringing all of my supplements online and experienced the same problem. It doesn’t matter whether I use the Film Name\Shorts folder or append -short to the end of the file name (but in the film’s folder). In either case they show up as movie titles rather than as supplements under the designated film.
I should note that this isn’t on XBox - rather in the web UI. It may also be the case on the Roku - I haven’t checked as I’ve been moving them into the \Featurettes folder the resyncing. (This is because I’m doing all this “bringing online” work on the PC and check as I go.
I am having an issue as well, in the web client Version 2.4.23 and the server Version 0.9.12.19. The only local resources that seem to work are “Behind The Scenes”, “Interviews”, “Trailers” using both folders and extensions, “Featurettes”, “Scenes” and “Shorts” do not show up as extras, but rather show up as a duplicate entry for the main movie. It shows the blue ball with a count on the poster. When I do an info, it shows all the files that I have put in the 3 non-working directories, including their paths to the directory. I name the files “movie_Trailer 1.mp4” and the main movie is “movie.mp4.” For now I am just dumping all of then in “Behind The Scenes” just not optimal.
BTW - it would be awesome if another category, Documentary, were added. Featurette implies a short promotional package about the production - usually an EPK or similar. Criterion often includes long (hour or more) documentaries about the film’s production, history, and so on. They really aren’t “Behind the Scenes” or “Featurettes” but I’d love to see feature revisited as it could use a bit of an update.
