Local Streaming on WLAN

Hi,

I am streaming local media from my laptop via chromecast to my TV using the WLAN. (A wifi wingle device). http://lootlo.pk/deals/pakistan/electronics-computing/charji-evo-wingle/

I wanted to know if my bandwidth will be use if I am streaming local videos from my laptop.

No, you need an internet connection to load the player that Chromecast uses then Plex streams directly from your Plex server to the Chromecast. The stream does not go out then back in.
I am assuming that the little device is also just a little WiFi router. I do not think you will get very good results though.
(This assumes your server is also inside your LAN. Is it on the laptop?)
