Are there major differences between the Android (mobile) and the Android TV apps that would prevent local syncing from being enabled on the Android TV app? I realize this is a common feature request for the desktop app but considering the Android mobile app all already has this I was hoping that it could be implemented a little easier.
They’ve already said it’s not a part of their plans therefore it won’t happen.
That is too bad as it could be useful for those who travel and stay in hotels but don’t have reliable internet connections and those with weak internet connections in general who don’t want to sacrifice quality by having to stream at low bitrates. Sounds like the only way this feature might change is if Plex’s main competitor gets this feature first and Plex is forced to respond which currently seems to be the driver behind Plex’s development decisions.
