I remember a while back using a custom scanner to get film and tv ratings from the BBFC rather than from the MPAA, so I wondered if at some point it would be possible to set the server's locale meaning that everything will be related to that. Granted it would only work if the database that the information is pulled from has to have this data available, however themoviedb does have lots of international ratings on films. A good example of this is Toy Story 3 http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/10193-toy-story-3. If you look there is rating information for 7 countries with release dates for way more than that.
