Are there any plans to make the ratings customisable based on Country rather than just what appears to be USA rating?
While I appreciate the info has to come from a database somewhere, and IMDB has its main rating as USA, its slightly frustrating when trying to keep my kids away from Australian rated M movies, which are PG in the States.
The reverse applies to MA15+ in Australia, which are generally R in the States.
I would just love the rating for my country to come up on the page.
Thanks, I will give it a try
Much prefer our local certifications in Aus, very different to US content ratings and better IMO for filtering the kids libraries. The method above has worked ok for me (except using the Plex Movie Agent). Only a handful of movies aren’t picking up the Australian certifications (still show US) so I’ll need a fix or override manually for those.
One example is Baywatch (2017): Release year in Aus and US is 2017 so it’s finding the movie match but not picking up the Australian certification. TheMovieDb doesn’t have a rating with the release information so it must just fall back to the US rating. Would be great if the Plex Movie Agent checked IMDb for missing info as the Australian certification is often available there.
Moving onto TV shows, there is no country option for TheTVDB Agent, so I tried TheMovieDB but that hasn’t updated the content ratings, even though the Certification exists on TheMovieDB site (e.g. Dexter).
Any Plex Ninja’s available to help? Cheers
