Log/Console: repeating lines in WebGUI but not in logfile on disk?

SLOW QUERY immediately tells us PMS is heavily bogged down waiting for the database.

There is either:

a. A great deal of media activity (adding / deleting / updating)
b. A great deal of I/O (regular disk I/O or memory swapping).
c. So much has happened over time that the database is simply fragmented into excess

Start with the easiest:

  1. Go to the Server name (left pane) -> Manage Server -> Optimize Database
  2. Give it a minute to finish.
  3. Is it more responsive?
  4. If not, Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs
  5. Attach the ZIP file
