Nvidea shield, physically supports all audio formats. Ok so there are currently issues with DDHD 7.1 tracks. The hope is that this should be fixed “soon” the DTS HD MA was fixed at the last update, and there is no reason why in future ATMOS cant be supported.
I love the shield, have a lot of HEVC (x265), DTA HD MA content and it just works. Is it the best plex implementation, no i personally think the samsung one is, however it does just work everytime.
@OttoKerner how about the xbox one s… does the Plex Client for it support 4K and 7.1 (high end) passthrough? would you happen to know? sorry to keep pestering you!

I have no idea about the Xbox, but I don’t think it is able to playback 4K at all.
There might have been some improvements lately in regards to video codec support, but I don’t know about the bitstreaming abilities of the XBone.

Xbox One certainly does not, but the “XBOX One S” is suppose to have 4K Streaming
