This is a new world for me, so please forgive the complete lack of understanding…
I’ve spent the last day on google trying to figure this out, but I’m not so sure I am even finding the right answers.
What I’m trying to do is use my android phone with Plex to wireless play my MP3 library on my old shop stereo through an aux input.
Does anyone know of a lower cost option that will allow me to do this without a physical wired adapter from my android headphone jack? I like to move around the shop a lot and not have to run back and forth to the stereo to play/pause all that stuff. I’m not needing some audiophile grade thousand dollar solution, it just needs to work reliably out to 50ft or so
I really would appreciate any direction you guys might be able to provide, most especially if someone has actual experience with some device in particular.
Chromecast Audio.
Or, if you’re inclined get a raspberry pi and a suitable high quality audio interface. Put the embedded version of Plexamp on it.
Thanks a bunch, I’m going to look into chromecast and see how it works

There is a difference to the regular Chromecast (which is kind of a HDMI plug).
