I have an older Asus tablet that is stuck forever on Android 5 and wonder if there is a version of Plexamp available that would work on it.
When I search in the Google Play store using the tablet I’m told that the version there is not compatible. I’m assuming that I’d have to sideload the apk, if there even is one that might work
So… @OttoKerner slipped in and edited my tags but I haven’t been given any indication as to a version of Plexamp that I can side load on to an older Android tablet. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

You could look on APKMirror. I see versions going back to 2020 out there. In my experience Plex has not been very responsive when people ask questions about older androids or specific android devices. I think they want the vendors of the devices to support them, but with older devices you are generally going to be on your own.
Android 5 is quite old, so you may find there isn’t a version available for it at all, the earliest plexamp I saw on APKmirror was from 2020 and I think Android5 was obsolescent even then… It is possible there never has been a version for that platform and if that is the case I’m pretty certain there never will be, Since PlexAmp is a Plexpass item, I was a little surprised to find it on APKMirror, but it was out there.
Thanks for the response. I downloaded the oldest version that I found on uptodown, as well as the most recent, and all I got when I tried to install was a parsing error. Android 5 is about seven years old and plexamp is only 2-3 years old, so I didn’t really expect to find a version that would work. No big deal. Thanks anyway
