Time to upgrade my PMS. I have scoured the web and the forums and can’t seem to find a definitive answer.
My current build is fine, but there seems to be a short in there that i have to find, so figured I would upgrade to , in a way, “futureproof” for some local 4k as well as 5ish concurrent remote streams.
Currently:
i7 2600
GeForce GT 440
32 GB DDR3
Going to move my files to a 24TB External RAID
100mbps up and down
I keep hearing, don’t worry about a GPU with newer Intel i"x"s. Don’t worry about most if you aren’t going to be transcoding. Just trying to figure it all out so I know what i should and shouldn’t worry about when upgrading.
