Will updating PMS Break my Hardware transcoding?

Server Version#: 1.21.3.4021

Would like to update PMS on my Linux server, but having seen a fair few posts on problems with Hardware Transcoding recently I just want to check if it will be ok to go ahead.

While I will (almost) always use direct play, my shared users not so much…so would rather not break it

As far as I can tell my Hardware Transcoding is currently working (within the limits it has)

processor is an old Intel Xeon E3-1245V2 which does have Intel® Quick Sync Video
The OS is Ubuntu 18

In my prefs file I have the setting VaapiDriver="i965"

and these in /dev/dri

crw-rw---- 1 root video 226, 0 Feb 10 19:48 card0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 226, 128 Feb 10 19:48 renderD128

Is there anything I need to be aware of before updating PMS?

(Yep I know there were some major DB changes recently, so would grab a copy of the DB beforehand just in case I do end up having to rollback)

Thanks

Grab a copy of both the DB and the Preferences.xml to be safe

When you do upgrade, expect 3-4 minutes (on an i7-7700) / 25,000 items indexed for the migration to complete ; don’t panic. Just watch the CPU and wait for normal idle.
