Server Version#: Latest Windows
Player Version#: Latest Roku
Over at least the last week, possibly longer my Plex has ignore the loop setting and only played thru a file once then done. Previously I could run a 4hr long looped lullaby file and it would play thru all night into the morning.
I checked into some Roku stuff like bandwidth protection or whatever it’s called and it’s off. The file always completed playthru then stops.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Kiddo wakes up at 3 or 4a and there is no calming music, so then I get to wake up!
I see in another thread that you solved the issue by adding it to a playlist. I am curious though, are you still able to reproduce the underlying issue, not repeating when repeat is enabled? I’ve been testing this with a short clip (~20 seconds) with repeat enable and it’s been looping for the past hour. I’ll let this play over night with a longer test, but curious if I’m missing some key setup.
You are enabling repeat in the OSD once playback starts?
Can you provide the source file? feel free to DM a link.
Is is transcoding or direct playing?
What screen is the Roku sitting on after it stops? (e.g. roku home screen, screen saver, etc) If screen saver, did you close the screen saver to see what screen it was on? We mainly want to know if the Roku was still in the Plex channel, with or without an error, or if it was back on the Roku home screen (exited the channel).
I’m not testing it regularly but it was approx a 4hr video file probably transcoding but it was straight from YouTube download. It keeps my kid asleep so not willing to test much there.
The playlist plays no problem. So happy with that.
