I have large library of music encoded in wma professional 5.1 channels surround.
It was working fine for years, but after yesterday’s client update, player just outputs stereo sound.
Please, fix it. It has happened in the past, and that time you have fixed it after a few days.
Please, do the same this time.
P.S. Two days have passed and seems that nobody from PLEX is interested in answering this post.
At least, I would like to know, if my waiting makes sense, and PLEX is going to fix this problem, or they just decided to drop support for wma professional standard.
I don’t think I am going to convert 90 Gigabytes of music encoded in wma to other standard.
I would need 900 Gb to convert to FLAC or 2 Terabytes to convert to wav. This job would take probably several months, to complete. I think, I would rather find other solution and drop PLEX idea all together. Besides, what guarantee do I have, that after converting my files, PLEX will not drop support for another audio encoding standard?
The whole idea of PLEX is perfect for music. Average song is 3 minutes long, so playlists is a must.
For some reason PLEX is improving graphical interface for playing movies, in exchange of screwing audio support.
