Lost all library art and date-added metadata - will a db restore bring it back?

Server Version#: 1.32.2.7100-248a2daf0

I’ve read some on plexs’ recommended backups, but I can’t seem to find a list of what actual data is included in them.

I was doing some storage maintenance and had my TV/ show library NFS commented out. When the plex server booted it saw that TV/ seemed empty since nothing was mounted there. When I mounted the shows back plex interpreted everything as new and proceeded to rescan the library and seemingly drop all my old artwork metadata, but it seems it kept ratings and watched status.

I sort by most recently added episode, which seems to be reversed now (new recordings showing up under my oldest media) but I could live with that.

My main goal is wondering if the automated db backups have the proper references to my artwork metadata saved - and if I restore it (and lose the most recent changes/recordings) would I get my old library info back? I’m ok w/ losing or backing up a few days of recordings to save my old.

Thanks for any insight.
