Plex is pretty great, but ,Nfo files ignored, and not
any way to put Local Meta information for family
in local Videos. Sucks like old tampon.
It’s true Plex does not support nfo (beyond reading the IMDb ID).
You can still add your metadata right into the file and let Plex read that (works with mp4/m4v/mov files). Works like a charm… I’ve even got family members showing up as “actors” and it’ll pick up album tags as collection information, allowing me to filter my home videos.
