Mac app does not show Recently Added Photos on Home Screen

As title says. The Mac app does not show Recently Added Photos on the Home Screen despite having “Include in Home Screen and Global Search” enabled in my photo library and in Settings > Manage > Libraries > Photos > Manage Recommendations > Recently Added Photos > “Home” is checked.
