So ive installed plex meda server on my mac mini (m1) and due to my huge media gallery, i want to force plex to use my external drive as temp / cache plex folders (my old folder on windows had around 2 million files and were around 200gb).
Were in Mac (big sur) can i force plex settings to use the external drive (this folder dir: /Volumes/WD 14TB/Plex/Plex Temp) to host all meta / temp files?
The symlink option that i googles doesnt seem to be working. i created a symlink of the plex media server, and in plex setting pointed transcoder to external drive. as soon as i start to add my 1000+ gallery, my macs SSD drive starts going crazy, and when i check the storage on my external drive, the storage is still the same, while my SSD have gone up with 30+ GB (and counting so far)
for example want to move the files that are stores here: ~/Library/Caches/PlexMediaServer/ to external drive
