Mac Mini M1 issues with Plex

I received the Mac Mini M1 a week ago and it’s been an amazing Plex Server and extremely responsive, but there are some issues that I have not found a resolution for.

  1. Whenever I reboot the Mac Mini M1 Plex Server it does not connect and says “connection unavailable” when I am on the Plex Server. To resolve this, I need to remove the server from the devices list, then start the Plex Server application on the M1 then Claim the server before it works.

  2. I have turned off playing the Theme Music of a show I have recorded using OTA (over the air), but it keeps playing the Theme Music.

  3. In my recordings, I have listed “Detect commercials and mark for skip” on all my recordings, it worked on the Windows 10 Plex Server that I replaced, but it does not work on the Mac Mini Plex Server.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I will keep looking through the forums for resolutions.

Any updates from anyone? Every time I update the Mac or reboot, I need to go through the drop the server in Plex, then restart the Plex server so that I can reclaim it. Is this maybe a Plex Mac M1 compatibility issue? The Mac M1 has been phenomenal and so far it has solved my issue of pixelation with my i7 8th Gen chip. I am happy about the move to the Mac M1.
