macOS player doesn't play video on demand

UPDATE: Is there any place I can submit an official service request with Plex? If this is the only mechanism, I’m afraid it isn’t working.

UPDATE: Turning off hardware decoding and select refresh rate did not fix this.

UPDATE: Replaced analysis log with desktop log

I see an ad before the movie, but then the screen becomes garbled. The same movie plays great on other devices. This is VOD, not from my local library. SpeedTest is fine, as you would expect since other devices don’t have trouble. Let me know if you need other logs, but the Plex.log:

That log is from Plex Media Server analyzing media on your own server.

The Plex Desktop logs should help diagnose the problem with playing VOD.

Was there a particular movie or show from On Demand you were trying to play? What version of MacOS and on what type of Mac?

I cannot reproduce with few I have tried.

Sounds like the same issue I reported while using the Windows Desktop app. Windows Desktop Player Not Playing

A month ago someone from plex said they are aware of the issue. I’m hoping they will fix it soon.

This occurs with all movies. This is a Mac M4 Mini running Tahoe 26.3.1.
