Running the newest version on a legacy Mac mini running Catalina 10.15.7. obviously unsupported version for the latest release, but been running fine without issue until recent. Had no issues running on the previous v1.109 player. This new release now stutters and crashes immediately at playback of a video, even though its on the local host of the plex server.

Any way to get the previous version 1.109 back?

I’m having the exact same issue with the same OS. It auto-updated for my when opening the app so I had no choice. App is completely broken - if the app doesn’t crash right away then I get audio with a full pink screen. I paid for Plex Pass and even downloaded files crash the player. How how this been posted for 9 days with no response?

Thank you! I will try using the previous version and see if that helps the situation.

As a temporary alternative solution I found that you can use the browser based plex and it will work fine. App.plex.tv

I’m going to try rolling back to the previous version and seeing if that still remained as a working option.

With Browser, you will find some HD content that will play funny colours. Green and Purple for example.

Fair enough, but it’s better than getting nothing at all and it crashing/freezing the entire video :squinting_face_with_tongue:
