Is there a list of troubleshooting action I can take to try and track down what’s happening please.
For some reason it’s also stuck checking for an upgrade in the server settings as this would be the first thing I’d normally try. I assume I can just download the latest version and install it over the top of the app in my applications folder if I need to force an upgrade. Is this Correct?
That’s correct.
As for general troubleshooting… your server logs might show what’s been causing those crashes. Preferably check your server is configured to show debug, but no verbose messages.
I keep having this problem too. Just started today. Plex Media Server keeps crashing on my Macbook. Every time I open it video will play for a moment or so, then it crashes. If I just work in the server in browser window it stays open. But when I stream video to Roku players on the same network the server crashes. I’m attaching server logs.

UPDATE: I’ve downgraded to Version 1.32.5.7210-77f7f99fa and that seems to be running without issue.
