I’ve noticed that when using the Plex app in full screen mode, the screen saver comes on as if nothing is playing. I’m running macOS Monterey 12.2.1 on the client side, and Windows 10 with Plex 1.25.5.5492 on the backend.
This doesn’t occur when playing with Apple TV, and I haven’t seen it happen when playing through the browser either, but browser performance has been pretty poor compared to the app and I may not have used it long enough to trigger the screen saver. (update: I just tried the web version again, and it buffers too much for it to be usable with the default settings).
The app does switch to full screen mode properly (ie. it creates a new virtual screen and I can switch between them like you would any other app running in full screen mode), however I notice that the mouse cursor doesn’t disappear like it should for a video app running in full screen mode (ie. like it does with OpenVLC).
Anyone encounter this and have any advice? Thanks!
