macOS Sierra - DISABLE secure connection

Hi all,

since I installed Mac OS Sierra, I am no longer able to connect to my server without SECURE connection. To be clear: I want to use insecure connection. Some of my devices do not support secure connection, so I want to use insecure. Oh and also: It tells me, that my secure connection is an “indirect connection” (which might be due to the portmapper (see below) )

Other than installing OS X Sierra, I have not changed ANYTHING.

What makes the whole thing a bit more problematic, is the fact that I have an IPv6 adress (and plex has not done anything to properly support IPv6 for the last two years (looking at you there @elan ).

So I use a port-forwarded (http://www.feste-ip.net/) - this has worked for a bit over a year without any problems. Actually, so far it was easier to set up INSECURE connection…

Anyway… does anybody know of any Mac OS Sierra settings, which force secure connections? Or any other tips?

Thanks for the help!

It’s set to “preferred” - if I set it to “disabled” I don’t get any connection at all. As i said, it used to work the only thing that changed is may Mac mini now runs sierra.

No support? I have to say, this makes me quite sad… I have always been an advocate for plex, but for years no IPv6 support, media player just a pice of uselessness… lots of “features” which are of little not no interest to your core-user base but aim at consumers who will never use plex anyways because it’s not nearly easy enough to do…

So there is just no support anymore for paying customers?
