Server Version#: 1.25.5.5492
Player Version#: Current Apple TV Player and directly over web connection to server on Windows laptop
The last 2 versions of Plex Server ( 1.25.5.5492 and 1.25.4.####) have caused the CPU to spike to over 95% on my NAS device whenever playing 4K content. 1080p content plays without any problems. On laptop via web browser will allow the video to generally play, but when playing on Apple TV Player, the video will play for 2 - 5 minutes then pause while the video transcoder catches up and buffers enough to keep playing.
Is this a known issue or is there something else going on with my device. This didn’t happen before these last 2 versions.

Engineering has not yet created any HW transcoding support for AMD.
The best you can hope for is DirectPlay or DirectStream (audio conversion) but this will mean you need to carefully curate your media and avoid burning in subtitles (PGS, VOBSUB, or DVDRIP type) as well as attempting to transcode HEVC
Thank you for the quick response, but I find it odd that versions before the last two (1.25.3.#### and older I am guessing) didn’t cause this behaviour as I have been running plex server on this device since November without issues. Before that I was running Plex Server on Unraid with a Ryzen 3 processor as well without issues. I haven’t changed any settings but if there are any recommendations you can make on which settings I should enable or disable, I would appreciate it.
