Bug: when a watched episode is deleted, Plex stops counting it in the Deck.
To repeat this, simply have two sequential episodes of a show.
Mark one as watched, then see the deck update to show the next episode.
Do nothing else except for delete the watched episode, and the unwatched episode is removed from the deck.
It’s normal and expected that we watch current shows and delete them afterwards. If the deck does not understand this, it loses it’s convenience (and it’s purpose) for anyone who regularly deletes watched episodes.

I don't think that's a bug as plex is meant as a way to store your media not just to watch it and delete. I don't delete any of my shows. Plex was designed this way fro people who rip there DVDs and save them in plex.( if you bought the dvd you plan on keeping them,) and it is designed to be the way plex would be used, as it is not meant to mimic PVR. I understand many people use it that way. but i would not say that is the most common or expected way plex is used.
basically just because something doesn't work they way you want, doesn't make it a bug
that being said I do think that what you want is perfectly valid. so if folks want it please "Like" the first post in this thread

Now, on topic, I've found a very simple work-around for this that is not perfect, but it's 80%:
Keep even a single older episode with a watched status.
I usually keep season 1 of most shows anyway (if someone new gets in to a show, we can watch it immediately and pull the DVDs down for season 2), so in this case I'm going to keep Season 1, Episode 1 of any shows that are currently on the air; it stays invisible when watching current seasons, and it's a small amount of HD space to donate to the Deck functionality. :)
It seems we have two reasonable options for how people expect On Deck to work. I would really prefer the the behavior the OP describes. This should be an option somewhere in settings. Or is it by now and I simply missed it?
