How to get stuff off On Deck

Hey there

I have some daily shows on my plex and I only keep 2 weeks worth of shows on the disk, so I am unable to mark previously watched shows as unplayed. How to get rid of those shows from On Deck if I don’t watch them anymore, other than changing the “weeks to consider for on deck”

I can, but I don’t want to mark them every day when a new episodes come out. I want them not to appear there in the first place.

There is no function to do that. You can have nothing from that library show up on the home screen at all ( including from recently added)

That’s also not what I want :o

This seems like a bug to me. If I mark a whole series unseen, it should also mark deleted episodes unseen.

Deleted episode do not show up. I delete daily shows, like late night talk shows, after 14 days. I did watch those shows. So new ones show up on-deck, as expected. Now I quit this one show and I marked all 14 remaining episodes as unplayed (watched several more before, those are now deleted) so new ones should not show up on ‘on deck’. But they do, if new ones get added to the library.

btw:
sqlite3 com.plexapp.plugins.library.db “PRAGMA integrity_check”
Error: no such collation sequence: naturalsort

¯_(ツ)_/¯

I think you are misunderstanding my issue, or I am bad at explaining.
This seems to be a Bug how Plex handles on-deck.

When I have all episodes on disk and in my library and I mark the whole show unplayed, new episodes will not show up “on deck” anymore, that is expected and desired behaviour.

However if I go and remove 1 episode prior to marking it unwatched, and then mark it unwatched, new episodes will show up “on-deck” which is neither expected nor desired behaviour. So in short, there is no way to have a show not show up “on deck” if I don’t save all episodes I have ever watched on disk. That’s a bug.

Did the library check/repair dance, integrity is ok. It’s not my lib, I can reproduce it with other shows.

Did the Plex Dance already, unfortunately as soon as I read the series, it shows up “on deck” again. This should not happen, right?

Sure but then I have to mark every episode every weekday as played. That’s not ideal.
But I think you are still misunderstanding me. It does not show up by simply adding it. It showed up because I watched a file from that show a few month back, but then deleted that file so I can not mark as unplayed and now I want it gone from my on-deck, which is not possible since the file is not there anymore. Plexdance does not help there, db is fine, its an issue with plex itself.

That’s a bug, or at least an uncaught edge case. If I mark a whole show as unwatched, it should not matter if the file is still on disk/in library, it should disappear from my on-deck, mark the files deleted also as unwatched in the db, or something. Right now I am presented with an inconsistent/uncontrollable interface.

Sure it is showing, that’s the issue I reported. New episodes of that show come in every (week)day, I don’t want to mark them as played every day, that’s not cool. I want them do not show up ‘on deck’ like every other show I mark as unplayed.

You mean bug report?
